Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Seadrift, TX. You will safeguard a chemical/petrochemical site, manage entry, verify credentials, monitor access points and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.

The role is full time with a daytime to night schedule and a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. You will provide friendly customer service, operate computer/tablet systems, and follow site procedures to deter security incidents.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide access-control and customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, issue access documents, and maintain records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Conduct patrols of entry points and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Support compliance with site entry requirements and PPE, documenting activities per procedures.

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Seadrift, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, use computer or tablet systems, and communicate clearly while helping to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor access documentation, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Support compliance with site entry requirements, including required personal protective equipment and restricted‑area protocols, while documenting security‑related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
