As a Security Officer Full Time Entrance Verificationin North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Your visible presence, professional communication, and attention to detail will help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access at entry points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and communicate entry requirements to drivers and delivery personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Observe and report unusual activity, damaged access points, and policy violations, completing accurate incident reports and shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
