Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks an experienced Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) for Summit, NJ. You will perform night vehicle and foot patrols, provide outstanding tenant and visitor service, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The role is full-time with night scheduling (2:00? am start times as per posting) and offers growth opportunities, CPR and guard-card-preferred credentials, and a comprehensive

• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and management personnel by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the property including buildings, parking facilities and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, coordinating with management and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate information during shift changes.

As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $21.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and property perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe persons entering and leaving the location; report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and/or emergency responders when required.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
