Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Coordinator in Fairfax, VA to serve and safeguard clients across healthcare settings. You will coordinate and communicate security-related activity, monitor information, and support timely responses to incidents and service requests, while delivering professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule with evening shifts, a $22/hour pay rate, and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, incidents, and routine requests to appropriate personnel using established communication systems.
• Monitor communication channels, access control activity, alarm systems, and video surveillance as assigned; document relevant information in dispatch logs and incident reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications with appropriate hospital departments and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter when required; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
