Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is a unified healthcare network serving Hudson County with four hospitals. The Security Officer role supports patient safety, staff protection, and facility security across our Hoboken campus and affiliated sites.

The position requires 24/7 coverage, strong teamwork, and adherence to hospital security protocols. SORA license preferred, NJ driver’s license required, and relevant hospital security experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SORA license preferred.
• Valid NJ driver’s license required.
• Relevant work experience in security, hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect persons and property from harm; provide safety and security 24 hours a day.
• Report doors left open after hours or unattended offices.
• Direct visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distribute passes.
• Conduct security rounds and clock tours daily.
• Monitor cameras/alarms from command posts.
• Investigate police-type incident reports.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensures the protection of persons and property from harm as a result of acts of violations of laws, policy, procedures or regulatory requirements. Provides safety and security 24 hours a day.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reports all doors that are left open after hours or unattended offices
  • Directs visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passes
  • Performs unit/building clock tours daily
  • Conducts security rounds for safety violations
  • Reports all hazardous conditions to the proper departments
  • Monitors cameras / alarms at command posts
  • Investigates all (police type) incident reports

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SORA license preferred.
• Valid NJ driver’s license required.
• Relevant work experience as Security required. Hospital setting experience preferred
