Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Houston, TX. You will serve clients, conduct patrols, monitor access points, support badge and visitor processes, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires at least one year of security-related experience; a guard card or license is preferred, and CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and following visitor and contractor entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while communicating professionally.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge and visitor processes, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $22.15 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor entry procedures, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while communicating professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
