Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Corporate Patrol Day Shift in New York, NY. The role involves patrolling a commercial property, providing exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors, and maintaining security procedures to deter incidents.

Eligible applicants must hold a NYS Security Guard License, be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and pass a background check plus drug screen where permitted.

Qualifications

• Subject to background investigation as per laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial properties and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance concerns or policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and activities in required reports and communicate during shift transitions.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to tenants, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $19.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe building activity, reporting maintenance concerns, unusual conditions, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
