Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Support. You will serve clients in Tech/Media/Telecom, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment while maintaining professionalism and safety.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a valid NYS Security Guard License, and a high school diploma or equivalent. On-site shifts include evenings and night hours as listed.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate contacts.
• Report security-related concerns, policy violations, hazards, and suspicious activity to leadership and client representatives.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Report security-related concerns, policy violations, hazards, and suspicious activity to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
