Allied Universal, North America\'s leading security and facility services company, seeks a full-time Communications Center Operator in Norfolk, VA. You will provide customer service while coordinating dispatch, monitoring alarms and cameras, and supporting timely responses to incidents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a telecom/media operations site.
• Monitor dispatch communications, alarm systems, cameras, and access-control activity; relay information to relevant personnel.
• Receive, prioritize, and coordinate responses to incidents and service requests calmly.
• Maintain dispatch logs, incident reports, and visitor information per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to identify unusual activity and report observations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Communications Center Operator in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a telecommunications and media operations location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor dispatch communications, alarm systems, cameras, and/or access-control activity; document and relay relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Receive, prioritize, and coordinate responses to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, visitor information, and other required records in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter, as assigned, to help identify unusual activity and report observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
