Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Patrol Alertness in New York, NY. You will protect clients across industries, provide excellent customer service, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard license and at least 6 months of security experience; CPR/First Aid preferred. Schedule includes evening shifts, full-time with a hourly pay.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Patrol Alertness in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.30 -$19.30 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and building personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and the building perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
