Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Command Center Specialist in White Plains, NY. You will monitor and patrol transit facilities, help deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors.

Requirements include a minimum of two years in security, computer/tablet familiarity, and a HS diploma. Background checks and drug screening apply; a valid driver’s license is required for driving roles.

Qualifications

• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
