Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Building Patrol in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism and care. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

Position Type: Full Time / Overnight Shift

Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, offices, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unauthorized access, damaged property, or other security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
