Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Building Patrol in Irvine, CA. You will monitor and safeguard tenants, visitors, and property, performing unarmed patrols and assisting with access control.

Excellent customer service and professional communication are essential for maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role offers mix shifts with a full-time schedule and a starting pay rate of $22.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required; drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and tenant concerns calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property and report unusual conditions to site contacts.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately per reporting procedures.

Position Type: Full Time / Mix Shifts

Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM; Thur 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM; Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Sun 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
