Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Government Building Access Control Patrol in Irvine, CA. You will serve clients, monitor entrances, patrol premises, and maintain a visible, professional presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is full-time with mix shifts and paid at $24.50 per hour. You will respond to emergencies, follow site procedures, and document patrols and incidents for leadership review.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and report per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity per site procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Government Building Access Control Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will respond to concerns, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $24.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location, interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred: Customer service experience.
• Preferred: Possess a Guard Card or license.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
