Allied Universal in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Access Coordination to safeguard clients across financial institutions and other sites. You will conduct routine armed patrols, manage access control, and respond to security concerns with professionalism while representing Allied Universal’s culture of teamwork and integrity.

The role requires a 21+ age, a high school diploma, and 3+ years of security or related experience; a Guard Card is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined security, law enforcement, or military experience or a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Access Coordination in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain awareness of changing conditions at the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
