Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Kissimmee, FL. You will serve and safeguard clients across a government location, conduct armed patrols, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years of security experience, an armed guard card, being 21+, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Rotating shifts include evenings and overnights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally following site procedures and laws.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, access-control activities, and observations.

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization as required, maintain awareness of persons entering and leaving the location, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, access-control activities, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
