Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an armed security officer to serve as an Armed Patrol Driver in Miami, FL. In this full-time role, you will monitor government facilities, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to incidents with professionalism and customer service.

Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals and vehicles entering restricted areas, maintaining logs and incident documentation.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate observations to site leadership or emergency responders as appropriate.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Full Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals and vehicles entering restricted areas, while maintaining accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
