Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Field Patrol in Miami, FL. You will provide security services, perform armed patrols at government facilities, and deliver excellent customer service to clients and staff, while maintaining safety and compliance.

This exciting full-time role requires an armed guard card/license, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to integrity, teamwork, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card/license is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations professionally and calmly.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity through established channels.
• Carry assigned firearm and equipment in accordance with laws, licensing, and policy.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity or policy violations through established channels.
• Carry assigned firearm and other equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site procedures, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Possess a guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
