Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time armed security position in Jacksonville, FL. Pay rate is $19.00 per hour and the schedule includes Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri, and Sat shifts.

You will provide customer service to members, visitors, and employees, respond to incidents and alarms, conduct armed patrols, monitor access points, and maintain incident logs in compliance with laws and site policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Armed guard license/card required or licensing may be required by state/local laws.

• Mon 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Thur 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to members, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, financial institution policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while following applicable laws, regulations, and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
