Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a full-time security officer in Texas. The role requires an armed guard card/license, a high school diploma, and the ability to perform patrols and respond to incidents at a financial institution.

You will provide customer service to clients and visitors, monitor access, and document security activities while following site policies and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Criminal histories considered as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintaining awareness of authorized personnel, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
