Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed CPO in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Monday: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Tuesday: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Wednesday: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Thursday: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Sunday: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document security‑related concerns, incidents, and/or daily activity as required.
• Support cash handling and other high‑value operational areas through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting of suspicious activity to appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A Certified Protection Officer certification is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
