Job summary

Allied Universal in Bradenton, FL seeks a Security Officer Full Time Armed to protect clients at financial institutions and other facilities. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires 2+ years in security or related fields, an armed guard card, and willingness to work afternoon/evening shifts; CPR/First Aid is a plus, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card/License required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Perform armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site procedures while maintaining a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Perform armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter on a regular and random basis to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
