Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Operator in Houston, TX. You will monitor access, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service to tenants and visitors at a commercial real estate location.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarm panels, reporting incidents, and conducting patrols while maintaining a visible security presence. A background check and drug screening are required by law.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel and access control experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed) per role; background check required.

As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Operator in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and routine concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors. Pay Rate: $15.45 / Hour

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to commercial property areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry records.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
