Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing personnel as required.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Afternoons in East Dubuque, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will support a welcoming, controlled environment through routine observations, reporting, and exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing personnel in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
