Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time overnight role in Perth Amboy, NJ. You will serve and safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical location, performing unarmed security duties, patrols, access control, and incident response to protect people and property.

Requires TSA TWIC, HS diploma, and 6+ months security experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with a starting pay of $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of operational areas, buildings, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
