Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for interior patrol in Burkville, AL. The role offers weekend shifts (Sat/Sun, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM) with a pay rate of $15.65 per hour on a rotating schedule.

You will provide customer service, enforce site policies, and maintain a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, conducting patrols, reporting hazards, and documenting observations while ensuring compliance with site

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Background history considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures within a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, damaged barriers, unsecured doors, and potential hazards to site contacts and leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations accurately.

Job Schedule:

• Sat – 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Sun – 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, damaged barriers, unsecured doors, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations accurately and in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
