• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor credentials and direct individuals to the correct location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations with calm, professional problem-solving; notify site contacts and responders.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately following reporting procedures.

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Bensenville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials in accordance with site policies, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and completely, following Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
