Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Management in Chicago, IL. You will provide reliable security services at an assigned site with the option to take additional shifts.

Pay rate: $19.75/hour. Schedule: Sat 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM. You can earn more through the scheduling platform and potentially move toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours weekly.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Management in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or building staff by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit, verify visitor and contractor authorization, issue and collect access credentials, and maintain required access logs.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate building contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial office building common areas, entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Assist with maintaining a professional lobby and access control presence while documenting daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
