Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and entry/exit of authorized personnel, visitors, vendors and vehicles.
• Maintain logs for visitors, contractors, and vehicles; issue and collect access credentials per procedures.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly, reporting observations to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control the entry and exit of authorized employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle logs; issue and collect access credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
