Job summary

Allied Universal in Fremont, CA, is seeking a Security Officer to protect client sites and support access control at an automotive manufacturing location. The role emphasizes customer service, routine patrols, incident response, and a professional, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification and guard card/license are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Complete required reports, logs, and shift documentation accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific procedures.

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
