Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Fremont, CA. You will monitor access points, perform patrols, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism at an automotive manufacturing location.

Responsibilities include documenting security activity, responding to incidents, and maintaining visible presence to deter issues. This full-time role offers an hourly pay of $22.52 and a schedule from Thursday to Sunday evenings.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Complete accurate reports and communicate security information to leadership.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.52 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur – 03:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Fri – 03:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Sat – 03:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Sun – 03:00 PM – 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation while communicating relevant security‑related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
