As a Security Officer Full Time Access Screening in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service while using communication skills and attention to detail to help deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.47 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, shipping documentation, and authorized access for personnel and vehicles entering restricted areas.
• Monitor entry points, loading areas, and screening equipment; report suspicious activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
