Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Permissions in North Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, maintain badge access procedures, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help to deter security-related incidents while contributing through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture.

Pay Rate: $18.56 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate access requirements, prohibited-item restrictions, and personal protective equipment expectations to visitors and contractors at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
