Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Access Credential Intake in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

This role requires prior security experience, strong communication, and comfort using a computer or tablet. The shift pattern includes afternoon/evening hours with a hourly pay rate of $24.00.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor and delivery records.
• Control access for delivery vehicles and personnel and direct traffic to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Credential Intake in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication, routine access-control activities, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, check credentials, and maintain visitor and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access for delivery vehicles and personnel, direct traffic to designated areas, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
