Job summary

Allied Universal, Santa Fe Springs, CA, is seeking a Security Officer for full-time visitor credentialing at a fast-paced distribution site. You will safeguard clients, verify credentials, manage entry points, and maintain secure access while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Minimum 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Access control or badge experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain access-control records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity, assist with gate operations, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity, assist with gate operations, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
