Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a security professional in Maryland to perform access control and customer service at a logistics site. You will verify credentials, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents as part of a collaborative team.

Pay Rate: $15.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:30 AM - 11:30 AM
• Sun: 02:30 AM - 11:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Control access for delivery vehicles, drivers, and personnel entering and exiting the facility in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
