Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol Driver in Atlanta, GA. You will protect clients across diverse facilities, perform patrols, monitor entry points, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You'll deliver excellent customer service, coordinate with site leadership, and follow established procedures for emergencies. This role requires a valid driver's license and prior security experience. We offer training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while following site security procedures and emergency plans.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center facilities, access points, equipment areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security activities in logs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center facilities, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
