Job summary

Allied Universal in West Memphis, AR is seeking a Security Officer for full-time Access Control at an industrial site. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a professional presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and the ability to interact with employees, visitors, and contractors. Shifts include day- and evening-schedules with training provided to uphold safety and security standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, contractors, visitors, deliveries, and authorized vehicles at an industrial construction location.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, perimeter locations, and construction-related staging areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
