Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Jeffersonville, IN to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help maintain a safe, orderly environment at a logistics and distribution site.

You will provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel, conduct patrols, maintain access records, and escalate incidents per site procedures with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and delivery personnel while following site access control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents and escalate according to site procedures in a calm, solution-focused manner.
• Perform regular patrols of the facility, loading and parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate incidents and access issues professionally with site personnel and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access issues, and unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
