Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer for a Full Time Access Checkpoint in New Castle, DE. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and respond to access-related concerns.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour. Schedule includes Mon–Sun 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. You must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) with a high school diploma; background checks and licensing may apply.

• 2+ years of security-related experience is preferred.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet age requirements.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and responding to incidents.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Checkpoint in New Castle, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help support a welcoming, security-related environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, maintaining visitor records, and responding to access-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while providing professional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the location by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and following visitor management procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other assigned systems, documenting observations and irregularities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
