Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in New Castle, DE. This role provides reliable, consistent hours with the option to take extra shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $17.67 per hour with a Saturday 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM schedule. This position offers flexible part-time hours and opportunities to build toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel following security procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at the entry per site procedures.
• Inspect IDs, credentials, and access documents; monitor entry/exit points for security.
• Observe packages and activity for unusual conditions and report to leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents and conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding areas.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in New Castle, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.67 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
• Inspect identification, credentials, and authorized access documentation; monitor entry and exit points to help deter unauthorized access.
• Observe packages, freight areas, and surrounding activity for unusual conditions, and report concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
