Job summary

Granite State Gaming & Hospitality is seeking a diligent Security Officer to help ensure the safety of guests, team members, and property at our Rochester venues. You will maintain a visible presence, deter risks, and respond calmly to incidents while complying with gaming regulations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, physical readiness, and teamwork in a dynamic hospitality environment, with duties spanning patrols, incident reporting, and guest assistance to support a secure guest

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend policies, training materials, and documentation.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, patrol for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergencies, including possible physical intervention.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property and monitor for safety hazards or unusual activity
• Ensure the security of patrons, employees, and company assets during shifts
• Respond to emergencies and assist sick or injured guests or team members
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports
• Enforce company policies, internal controls, and gaming regulations
• Provide guest assistance, directions, and escorts when needed
• Operate security tools such as radios, computers, and surveillance systems
• Perform duties in compliance with all gaming and safety regulations

What We Require

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming license
• Must pass a background check
• Work may involve exposure to secondhand smoke, weather extremes, loud noise, and safety hazards
