Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Checkpoint Operations in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service while using computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor and manage access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing visitor badges, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Observe incoming and outgoing traffic, deliveries, and contractor activity, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, entryways, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
