Allied Universal in Minooka, IL is seeking a Security Officer Secure Entry Systems. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, assist employees and visitors, and respond to incidents to keep the site secure.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required by law; licensing per state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and control access to restricted areas per site policies.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, shipping/receiving, parking, and perimeter to identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and activity reports according to Allied Universal and site requirements.

Pay Rate: $20.81 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, access-control activities, and observations according to Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
