Job summary

Allied Universal® in Minooka, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer Entry Management to monitor access points, verify credentials, and provide excellent customer service. The role supports a manufacturing/industrial site with flexible day/evening shifts and a focus on safety and compliance.

You will document activity using computer/tablet systems and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents while ensuring smooth operations for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, coordinating arrivals per site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations with calm, problem-solving approach, notifying leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, including coordinating visitor, vendor, and delivery arrivals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
