**Security Officer**
_We are looking for qualified_ **_Security Officers_** _to join our Texas Health family._
**Position Highlights:**
- Work location: Texas Health Southwest - 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
- Work hours: Full-time; rotating shifts
**Department Highlights:**
- Security provides services 24/7 including vehicle escorts, patrols in buildings and parking areas, and response to service calls.
**Qualifications:**
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 2 Years security or law enforcement experience preferred.
- 2 Years healthcare or education experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver’s License Class C and insurable required upon hire.
- Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if Level 3) required within 14 days of hire.
- Level 3 Security Certification (2 attempts permitted), required within 60 days of hire.
- TASER Certification (initial and annual recertification), required within 60 days of hire.
- Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention (ACPI) training, maintained annually, required within 30 days.
**What You Will Do:**
- Perform patrols of buildings and grounds, including checking for unlocked and secured areas after hours.
- Lock and open doors according to schedules.
- Provide escorts to and from parking areas.
- Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
- Enforce campus parking policies and cite violations.
- Maintain compliance with security policies.
- Pursue and detain individuals involved in criminal activities.
- Complete incident and offense reports, including narratives.
- Provide directions and assistance to staff, visitors, and guests.
- Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with vehicle issues.
- Patrol campus interior, perimeter, and parking areas.
- Record observations and incidents accurately.
- Report and escalate situations to Threat Management as appropriate.
- Deliver excellent customer service, greeting individuals courteously and respectfully.
- Provide general information about Texas Health campuses.
- Transport and escort individuals to and from parking lots.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies.
- Assess situations, utilize de-escalation techniques, and apply appropriate force when necessary.
- Activate emergency response codes and coordinate with emergency personnel.
