Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
  • CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Level 3 within 60 days of hire required.

**Security Officer**

Work hours: Full Time, Rotating Shifts

Here’s What You Need
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a closely related field preferred
  • 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred
  • Driver’s License Class C and insurable required
  • CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred
  • CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Level 3 within 60 days of hire required
  • TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (two attempts permitted within sixty days) and annual recertification
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire
  • ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required or CPI within 30 days and ACPI within 12 months
  • Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
What You Will Do
  • Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked, secured areas after hours.
  • Lock and open doors according to schedules.
  • Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
  • Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
  • Enforce campus parking policies and cite violations.
  • Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.
  • Fill out incident/offense reports and compose narratives.
  • Give directions within the facility.
  • Interact with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Patrol interior, perimeter of campus, and parking areas.
