Job summary

Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth is hiring a Security Officer. The role involves patrolling campus grounds, controlling access, and ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Two years of healthcare or education experience is preferred.
• Valid Class C driver’s license and insurability required.
• Certification in commissioned security (Level 2/3) preferred and required within timelines.
• TASER and CPI/ACPI trainings are required or preferred per timelines.
• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas after hours.
• Lock and open doors per schedules and provide escorts to parking areas.
• Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
• Enforce campus parking policies and cite violations.
• Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity as needed.
• Complete incident/offense reports and write narratives.
• Provide directions to areas of the facility and interact with staff, patients, visitors, and police.
• Patrol interior/perimeter of campus and parking areas.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred
• 2 years healthcare or education preferred
• Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required and
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and
• TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire and
• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required or
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire required and
• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire required
• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.

What You Will Do

• Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.
• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
• Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
• Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations.
• Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.
• Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.
• Gives directions to areas of facility.
• Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrols interior/perimeter of campus and parking.
