Job summary

Allied Universal in El Paso, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Front Office to greet visitors, manage access control, and maintain a professional lobby within a technology, media, and telecommunications office location.

You will monitor entry activity, verify visitor credentials, respond calmly to incidents and alarms, and deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a secure, welcoming environment. Shifts are Sat and Sun, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, paying $15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law; licensing may be required.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications office location by greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and directing guests appropriately.
• Verify visitor access in accordance with site-specific policies, including checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and notifying hosts of arrivals.
• Monitor front desk activity, access points, and available security-related systems; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Support a professional lobby environment by maintaining accurate records, communicating clearly with employees and visitors, and carrying out assigned security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
