Job summary

Allied Universal in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Security Officer - Foot Rover to safeguard clients at a financial institution, monitor access points, perform routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, support badge and access-control procedures, document activities, and respond calmly to alarms or incidents while following site-specific policies. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution while applying security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility to identify irregularities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and guide visitors as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents; communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, support badge and access-control procedures, and use technology to document activities. Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon - 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue - 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri - 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat - 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun - 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
